Things to do for a hen or stag party in Wrocław, with competition front and centre

The bride- or groom-to-be and the whole crew race against the clock for every point. Instead of yet another table at a club, you get a game in which everyone has something to prove, and the rules written by the Zanetti family are the same for everyone.

  • Team versus team

Split the crew into several teams and play in parallel. At the end the scorecards will show in black and white which team was the best.

  • Adults only in the evening

After 8 pm only people aged 18 and over are in the building. Bring an ID or the mObywatel app (Polish mobile ID) for the entrance.

  • No athletic shape required

What counts is reflexes, wits and teamwork, not fitness. You choose the difficulty level separately for every cell, so you can adjust the pace to the whole crew.

  • Close to the Market Square

Białoskórnicza Street is right in the city centre, a few minutes' walk from the Market Square. From the game to dinner or a club you can walk, no taxi needed.

Split into teams, e.g. the bride's friends versus the family, and play for who gets to raise the first toast. You can take souvenir photos on the 3rd floor, and the whole of Wrocław is left for the rest of the evening.

Organising a hen or stag party step by step

  1. 1

    You pick the time

Ideally at the start of the evening, because the game needs a clear head. It's worth booking Friday and Saturday visits in advance.

  2. 2

    Check-in at reception

You arrive a quarter of an hour early with an ID, put your bags in the lockers and split into teams.

  3. 3

    The hunt for points

Each team with an electronic key looks for free cells and fights for a score until the time runs out.

  4. 4

The verdict, then off into town

The scorecards settle disputes, and the losers already have a task for the rest of the night.

Hen and stag parties at Prison Island – what to know before you come?

  • First the game, then the toasts

The cells demand reflexes and a clear head. People who appear to have drunk a lot of alcohol will not be admitted, and the game can be stopped without a refund, so it's best to plan Prison Island for the start of the evening.

  • Cake and refreshments

You'll find something to nibble at the snack bar. If you're planning a cake or refreshments for the whole crew, tell us when booking and we'll sort out the details.

  • Souvenir photos

You can take photos and videos for personal use on the 3rd floor. In the cells we don't photograph puzzles or mechanisms, so as not to give away solutions to the next players.

  • Save the stilettos for later

High heels are banned in the game, so come in flat, comfortable shoes. Elegant shoes and handbags will wait in a lockable locker.

Questions before a hen or stag party in Wrocław

Can children be at Prison Island in the evening?

No. From 8 pm only people aged 18 and over are allowed on the Prison Island premises. Staff may ask for an ID card, passport, driving licence or the mObywatel app, so it's worth having a document with you.

Can we come to Prison Island after the party?

Better the other way round. The terms don't allow entry to people who appear to have drunk a lot of alcohol, and a guard can stop the game if any participant is under its influence. Plan the game for the start of the evening and the celebrating for later.

Can we plan a cake or refreshments for our crew?

Let us know when booking what you need – a cake, snacks or catering for the whole group – and we'll work out the details together. Without prior arrangement, food and drinks from outside stay outside the venue, but the snack bar on site is always open to you.

How many people can come to a hen or stag party?

Everyone plays at the same time, in teams of 2–4 people (we recommend 3–4). For a very large group, let us know in advance so we can pick a time.

Can I take photos at Prison Island?

Yes, for personal use and on the 3rd floor, as long as it doesn't disturb other players. However, you may not photograph or record puzzles, mechanisms or the set design of the cells.

What should I wear to a hen party at Prison Island?

Comfortably, because some cells require movement. You can't play in high heels, and in very bulky boots you'll simply be uncomfortable. If the rest of the evening calls for elegant shoes, you can leave them in a locker during the game.

How much time should I reserve for the game in the evening's plan?

You can choose 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Add about a quarter of an hour for registration before the start and a few minutes after the game to collect your scorecards, and only then plan a restaurant table.
