We play from age 9, and the birthday team chooses the cells and the difficulty level itself. Children under 14 play under the supervision of an adult who stays on the premises or with a signed parental consent, and it's best to plan the whole visit so that it ends before 8 pm.

For teenagers it's a game with a score: teams compete for points, and records can be compared in the Courtyard ranking. There is no set programme – the crew decides which cell to start with. A smaller group plays as one team, a larger one splits into several and competes against each other too.

You come for check-in. A quarter of an hour before the game you leave your things in the lockers, split into teams and listen to a short briefing from a guard.

You play for points. A green light above a cell means it's free. Teams set the order themselves and can come back to any challenge.

You celebrate in the lounge. The lounge is yours for the duration of the game and an hour longer, so after the game you compare scorecards and plan a rematch.

Clothing and belongings
Comfortable clothes and sports shoes work best, as stilettos and high heels are not allowed. You leave your things in lockable lockers, and you can take your phone into the game.

Food and drinks
For a birthday party booked with us in advance, you're welcome to bring your own cake, fruit and treats. Rather travel light? Order water, juices and snacks as part of a package – there's also a snack bar on site. Food and drinks stay outside the cells.

Comfort in the cells
Some cells are dark and fairly small, and a few have lighting effects that aren't recommended for people with epilepsy. Doors open from the inside with an ordinary handle, so you can leave a cell at any moment or skip it.

Accessibility
Reception and the common areas are accessible for wheelchair users, but most cells are not, because of the stairs and set design. If any of your guests needs an individual solution, please let us know before your visit.

From what age can you organise a children's birthday party with us?
From age 9. At Prison Island the birthday team is a full participant in the game: it chooses the cells, the difficulty level and the order itself, and collects points together with friends.
Is Prison Island Wrocław a good place for an unusual children's birthday if the birthday child doesn't like sports?
Yes. The challenges at Prison Island test reflexes, logic and cleverness, not strength or courage, so being athletic isn't necessary. If a cell doesn't suit the birthday child, the team simply skips it and picks another one that's free at the moment.
Do parents have to be present at children's birthdays at Prison Island Wrocław?
Children under 14 can play under the supervision of an adult who stays on the premises for the whole game, or with a signed consent from a parent or legal guardian. Prison Island does not provide childcare, so responsibility for underage participants rests with their guardians.
Until what time can children's and teenagers' birthdays be celebrated with us?
From 8 pm only adults are allowed inside Prison Island. That is why birthdays for teenagers and younger children need to be planned so that they finish before that time. Evenings are reserved for adults.
How many guests can the birthday person invite?
Between 2 and 64 people can take part in the game, and a team has 2–4 people (we recommend 3–4). A larger crew splits into several teams and competes against each other too, and from 11 guests group discounts apply, calculated from the ticket price.
How long does the birthday party at Prison Island last?
You can book the game for 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Usually 1–2 hours is enough to visit most of the 22 cells, but what counts is not the number of cells you visit but the number of points you earn.
Can I organise an adult birthday party at Prison Island Wrocław?
Yes. After 8 pm only adults are inside, so evening birthdays for adults take place without children, and there is a snack bar on site. If your crew is larger, write to us when booking – we'll sort out the details.
Can I bring my own cake and drinks to your venue?
Yes. If the party has been arranged with us in advance, you can bring your own cake, fruit, drinks and treats – the Prison Island terms and conditions make an exception for such events. You can also order the Higher Level of Initiation package with water, juices, popcorn, crisps, biscuits and jelly sweets. Food and drinks don't go into the cells with you.
